Just before the holidays, my girlfriend Natasha invited me to join a holiday photo shoot and I had to share ALL of the details! Including, but limited to the fierce gold and silver sequined wardrobes. Because, of course, what else would you wear for such a festive occasion?
Natasha pulled out all the stops in pulling this shoot together and I absolutely loved being a part of the whole event.
On a Friday just prior to Christmas, we all shimmied downtown to an AMAZING shared office space in the heart of our Denver tourist district, which also includes a fantastic space for portraits. Natural lighting and simple, clean, white walls galore! With a on-trend table setting of classic, clear china, champagne flutes filled with bubbly, and cupcakes with sparkly sprinkles… I was in heaven!
The other women involved are all either starting or have had their own businesses, being bloggers, stylists, jewelry designers, photographers, or boutique owners. (All of their information is linked below.) It was wonderful to be surrounded by such examples of girl power just before the weekend. Because heck, we all know girls run the world. 🙂
A HUGE thanks to the wonderful vendors that shared their time, skills, and materials for the purpose of this fun, festive affair. The inspiration all started with a creative set of balloons, and I loved seeing every step of the process as it blossomed into something truly special.

The second I saw the cupcakes being delivered to the photo shoot, I knew that they would have to be a part of our updated branding at SST. (I mean, the sprinkles sparkled!! Can’t beat that.) While I’m actually not at all planning a re-brand in the near future, I’ve come to learn that planning ahead is the primary key to success in the blog world. With that in mind, our photographer graciously offered to take some cupcake-related pictures for my future use.
For those new to SST, cupcakes have always been a big part of my life in blogging. They are the perfect, real-life example of moderation and balance in life, adding just a small touch of sweetness to our days. In fact, I love them so much that they’re the first (& current) banner I created to represent the Semi-Sweet Tooth brand! (Insider note: I actually tried to start with a picture of a chocolate chip cookie, but the pink cupcakes I baked with a super Scottish friend –and professional baker- turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. We made the cupcakes in the current banner when we volunteered to make lunch at Ronald McDonald House in downtown Chicago. Yummin!)
