With overwhelming support of Friday Favorites shown in last week’s posts, we’re back with this week’s favorite things and I don’t expect it to be going anywhere anytime soon. I’m so glad that you guys enjoy my random favorite finds – because I so look forward to sharing them each week! And with that, we’re off!
FREEBIRD by Steven
I recently received an email from a representative from FREEBIRD by Steve Madden asking if I’d like to pop in their updated store to learn more about their new concept. And I am SO glad I did! FREEBIRD is actually a Colorado based group that makes rockin’, primarily leather footwear. Everything is stitched to perfection and you can tell that the quality of leather is going to wear incredibly well, in the way a classic motorcycle or cowboy boot would after years of love.
After trying on some amazing styles (seriously… fringe booties… swoon), I went with a classic pair of mules with burnt out edging. I’ve been looking for mules that I feel comfortable wearing for everyday and I literally wouldn’t take these off. They were so comfortable, the leather was so gorgeous – I even wore them out of the store!
Definitely check out FREEBIRD (aka, updated Steve Madden stores) if you’re in the Denver area. Other stores are being updated ASAP!

Light Pink Peonies
You know I’m a lover of a good floral arrangement; needing to have fresh flowers or a fresh plant in every room. These light pink peonies were spotted at our nearby grocery store and I didn’t want to add a single thing. I adore that you’re able to see peonies bloom seemingly overnight in your home. Seeing fresh flowers come alive in your living room is the perfect representation of Summer and sunshine.
Pretty Boxes with Bows
I’m going to be honest… I have a little bit of a hoarding problem when it comes to gift wrap. I keep tissue paper, every gift bag I’ve received, and bubble wrap galore for shipping presents. (Blame it on my grandmother, who keeps and washes out Ziploc bags.) But I haven’t had the heart to throw this adorable gift box into the base of the closet with the other wrapping gear quite yet! Yes, it is still sitting out in our home following my Blackhawk Bachelorette with our wedding stuff, making us look like crazy people. But it’s just too cute for words!
Supergoop! CC Cream
HUGE achievement over here. I finally finished one of my 12 Birchboxes. HOORAY!!! While I am incredibly particular about the products I use on my skin (thus why these boxes are still around), I saved the best product in the box for last. This CC Cream provides even coverage, isn’t too thick or too thin, and provides a deep protecting layer of SPF 35. I will warn you that, even though I’m using Light to Medium, it does go on a bit dark. It says it’s “self adjusting,” but I’m not sure what that means – but the color is perfect with the little tan I have lingering from my Bachelorette in Michigan (details to come next week!). I’ve been using this CC Cream for about a week now, and so far, it’s a solid investment.

After several years, I am finally doing something with my Pinterest page! While I’m going to have to take a bit more time to clean up everything that I’ve had going on my page since 2009ish, I have a great start going right now. Check it out and follow along with all the fun!
