When I was little and was asked my favorite color, my answers were either “silver” or “the blue you see in a blue sky on a sunny day.” Not much has changed since that time in the favorite color department, except that I’ve realized that I’ve figured out that the blues I spoke of were either cobalt or periwinkle. To this day, the second I see the exact color I adore hanging in-store, I immediately gravitate towards that item.
Thus is the case with this J. Crew top that I recently found in-store and I couldn’t wait to add it to my wardrobe (…and it’s ON SALE! Check out the link below.) While I am typically relatively uncomfortable with deep v-necks or tops without structure, I ended going with a bandeau underneath, which covered the structure and raised the neckline on the top. Pairing this with white, Lilly Pulitzer corduroys that I originally purchased on Rue La La long ago (linked to similar options from Lilly below), nude Jimmy Choo heels (linked below), and a small pop of color from my Anthropology green earrings, my goal was keep the top as the star of the show. And I love how the overall look turned out!
