Can I be honest with you for a minute? (With the amount of TMI we share back and forth, you and I, let’s also come clean that pretty much everything belongs in this space.) Waaaay back with Friday Favorites #1, all six week (#memories), I talked about how I’m terrible with maintaining a series on the blog. I love sharing workouts and simple recipes galore, but I feel like we need a space to talk about some of the randomness in our lives, too. So, here’s where I need your help – do you prefer Friday Favorites, or would you prefer a linkup such as Think Out Loud Thursdays or What I Ate Wednesdays?
But nonetheless, here’s this week Friday Favorites. As I click post, I am off to wine tasting with some of my favorite guys and gals for my Bachelorette. Wish us luck!
Workouts in Millennium Park
Last week, I found out that free workouts were starting in Millenium Park on Saturday, so I hopped up at 6:30 and got my booty to the workout! Each workout was 45 minutes and happened to be themed to gospel music because of the Gospel Festival being last Saturday night. The workouts were yoga, boot camp, and I was having so much fun that I stayed for Pilates and Zumba! Four workouts will definitely not be my usual day, but it was a fun way to spend my early morning.
New Glarus Beer
I’m usually not a big fan of craft beer (which makes me sound the opposite of a Denverite.) But I finally had the opportunity to try the famous Wisconsin beer from New Glarus. It’s DELICIOUS! Smooth taste, light, and crisp. If someone happens to be in Wisconsin soon, I highly recommend a trial.
America’s Cup Chicago
While I had no idea that I was planning my trip around it, this weekend happens to be the America’s Cup race in Chicago! It’s the first time that it’s been located in fresh water and the city is going crazy with sailing memorabilia. You better believe I purchased an official shirt from Vineyard Vines to commemorate the big event.
Meeting My Friends’ Little Ones
While I’ve had a busy week, some of the highlights to me have been meeting my friends little ones. One of the tough things about moving further away is that I don’t get to see my friends’ kids grow up before my eyes, so every moment I spend with them is extra precious. Cheers to spending some time with these little guys before they grow to be too big to snuggle. 🙂
Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Dip
I went to a party where a guest brought this dip and it was FANTASTIC!! I have a goal to re-create it for the blog using few ingredients, so be on the lookout in the very near future.
