Weekly Favorites

adayonmyplate_KI_1024x1024 Many of you know that I’m following Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Guide for at least the next six weeks.  While on her program, I’ve decided to follow her newsletter to see what tips she has in store.  While some of her posts are kind of meh (I love her program, but I wouldn’t call her a pro blogger at this point, not that I’m one either), some of her posts are incredibly informative.  I LOVED this post about a typical day on her plate and why she eats what she does across the day.  It will definitely give you some great thoughts and ideas to apply to your daily life.



Those of you that follow me on Instagram (@SemiSweetTooth > ) know that I was able to meet up with one of my best friends from college when traveling for a work trip on Tuesday night in beautiful Columbus, Ohio.  Nathan and I have been friends since he lived in the room below mine Freshman year of college… and now he’ll be officiating our wedding!  It was wonderful to see him in his home town to catch up. 🙂 (Of course, wearing my new, favorite eShakti dress!)


jump I’ve been looking up to Sarah from Shh…Fit Happens for a while now, and then she came out with this post where I fell in love with her even more.  Her honesty shines as she talks about the fact that we can sometimes try to do too much and truly feel burnt out.  It shows that we can all have this feeling from time to time, but that we have to look to the silver lining/light at the end of the tunnel to come out stronger on the other end.



For whatever reason, the Sales meeting we’re hosting in Columbus has left me SURROUNDED by candy from every direction.  In these times, I think of the picture above, because I’m fully on board with the “eat something sweet every day” sentiment.  But, note to self, “something sweet” doesn’t have to mean 15 Almond Joys.  PUT DOWN THE PEANUT BUTTER M&Ms, JESSICA!



Yes, you are correct… Halloween was last weekend.  But when you find an article with a baby Sophia from the Golden Girls, I think you’re legally obligated to share!  Not pictured: Baby taco, baby R2D2/C3PO, baby Edward Scissorhands, etc.

    I also have been surrounded by candy in the office this week- SO hard to resist all the deliciousness. Great reminder that sweet isn’t always unhealthy. My go to treat recently has been Chobani Flips- you should try them if you haven’t already!!

      Totally with you! I’m fairly good at giving myself breaks when I can tell I need them, but I’m always hesitant since I struggle to get back on the wagon… when sitting reading a novel sometimes sounds more fun. 🙂
