New Product Trial: Chantecaille Lip Gloss

If you’ve been around SST for a while, you know I’m a big fan of Chantecaille products.  They typically use more natural ingredients that don’t mess much with your natural skin, and their coloring is more on the neutral side.  An all-around win in my book!

Because I’m such a super-fan, my favorite Chantecaille rep let me try out a sample of their lip gloss product.  Just like many, I’ve been stuck on my specific, favorite lip products for a while.  But when this brand makes a lip product, I know it’s time to take the plunge.

Surprisingly, however, I didn’t fall madly in love with this gloss!  I loved the simple, pink color – really meant to highlight your lips rather than make them stand out.  But the goopy texture wasn’t what I had in mind.  It’s a bit tacky and I’m not a fan of the sticky feeling. Though, if you’re used to the gloss feeling, then I recommend checking out the beautiful colors Chantecaille has in their assortment.

I’m more of a lipstick girl! I tend to wear more neutral colors come fall/winter, but in the summer it’s all about the coral and bright hues. I’ve been using Stila and Maybelline for a while now and have been very happy with both brands!

Totally with you. I caved a while ago to the MAC trend and haven’t regretted it, too!
