Over the past few months, there have been several changes happening over here at Semi-Sweet Tooth. Some have been likely imperceptible, and some have been more major shifts. But all have been positive. (Thus far, at least…)
So that you don’t get lost in the Semi-Sweet Tooth stratosphere, here’s a quick guide so that you’ll know what to expect and where to go to get the information you need most.
The Blog
Hooray! You’re here! You found it! And we’re sure glad you’re here…
Here on Semi-Sweet Tooth the blog, we share everything we learn that helps to create life in balance. From healthy recipes, to understanding astrology, to easy style tips, anything is fair game.
But be warned that here at Semi-Sweet Tooth, we believe that you can have it all… you just can’t have it all perfectly. You’ll never see us on extreme diets or focusing entirely on one subject area. This blog is a real-life reflection of our lives, and our lives are much more than being one-sided.
We’re real. We’re authentic. We get hurt. We’re still incredibly optimistic. And if you read along, then you’ll be learning with us along the way.
Also, we’re in the market for 1-2 new freelance writers to add to the team. If you know of anyone that might be interested, please send them my way by emailing [email protected].
On Instagram, there are two separate accounts that you have the opportunity to follow, both sharing different types of content.
@JessicaTepas
This used to be the account called @SemiSweetTooth, but with an updated handle.
On this account, I share a few personal updates, but I’ve primarily designed this feed to be filled with captions and photos that will help you to feel empowered, inspiration towards living a fulfilling life, and true stories about living life as a female business owner.
On the Instagram Stories, you’ll see my daily workouts, various bits on meal planning, and things that are inspiring me on a regular basis. Somebody recently pointed out to me that I also include several quotes and thoughts on being a kind person, and I’ll take that bit of feedback any day. 🙂

@djjessyjess
This account is where I share personal updates. Most updates on my pup, random outings with friends and family, and general musings are on this account, so there’s really not much consistency in terms of content. But if you want to know what I’m up to on a daily basis, then this is where you would go.
Please note that you may see a little bit of overlap between the two accounts. But that’s just because I know that both audiences are very different. I do try to limit this overlap consciously for those that follow both.
Lastly, yes, this account is a private account, just because I don’t think bot accounts deserve to to see my puppy. But if you’d like to follow, then just hit request and you’ll be accepted. 🙂

My Facebook page is dedicated purely to female empowerment – example seen above. From stories of women breaking the mold, to motivational content to get you excited to take on the day, I love keeping my Facebook page upbeat, casual, and with a slightly more feminist touch than you may see in other areas of the SST universe.
This content also includes a link to all of my blog posts, so make sure that you “like” the page to keep up-to-date on all of my posts if you’re a big on the Facebook sphere.

Newsletter
First of all, if you were subscribed to my newsletter, you still are. We decided to pause our newsletters for a short while as we got all areas of SST up-to-speed, but they’ll be back this month.
Our newsletters are primarily focused on building mental strength and fortitude. Based on my daily life, these newsletters highlight a recent lesson I learned or something specifically relevant to dates on the calendar. They are consistently further proof that we learn something new everyday and that we should always take a moment to learn new things and breathe throughout our lives.
Within these newsletters, you’ll also spot a short personal update – kind of a synopsis of everything on @djjessyjess on Instagram. I started doing this because I was getting questions from a lot of people that aren’t on Instagram or choose not to check social media on a regular basis as a way to keep them completely up to date.
To be included on the newsletter, just add your email in the relevant spot on the sidebar.
Social Media Marketing
Some of you may not know that one of our primary pillars here at SST is the social media marketing arm of our company. Within this group, we maintain and grow various forms of social media for several small businesses, primarily based in Colorado. Almost all are female-owned and we manage a variety of pillars, pending the client – primarily Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs, and newsletters.
When we’re given the opportunity to manage a client’s social media, we task ourselves with growing their profitability in a meaningful way. We track measurements, click-through rates, and overall engagement to ensure consistent growth each month.
This arm of the business, while being relatively new, has grown faster than I ever would have expected. And, best of all to me, I get to work with fun, empowering clients on pieces of their marketing that meaningfully move the needle in a way we can see. It’s something I would never trade to work in any other line of business.
If you’d like to know more about what we provide in terms of social media marketing services, then don’t hesitate to reach out at [email protected]!
Overall
These past three months have been fascinating. I was in a meeting with Todd Herman recently where he said that there comes a point in every growing business where you feel like everything is broken and you can’t keep up. And that’s honestly a bit of where I felt like we were back in June – a great problem to have, but something to be fixed nonetheless.
My small, but mighty team and I have been working tirelessly to create a business structure that works and is built to scale. We definitely don’t have it all figured out, but things are running smoothly, profitably, and in a way where I’m proud of the pieces that we’re consistently delivering to you, our beloved readers.
If I’ve learned anything in the past few years, it’s that you never know where this life is going to take you. Even a year ago, I never would have imagined this growing, thriving business would be where it is today – I can only imagine where we’ll be one year from today.
But we’ll always keep you at the center. Our goal is to deliver the content you want and you hope to see.
We welcome any and all feedback, either in the comments below, or feel free to email us at [email protected].
THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for making SST what it is today. Now let’s see where this journey take us!
