Before we dive into my Friday Favorites, this week has FLOWN by in the blink of an eye. I cannot believe that it’s already Friday! To provide you with a bit of background, I’m currently blogging full time, freelance writing, consulting, and adding the final touches to our wedding coming up this month. I say none of this as a complaint, but it’s A LOT.
Luckily, this also means that there is plenty to be thankful for, too! We have so much to look forward to in our home, and my life is filled with so much love and laughter. I almost don’t want our wedding to come because it will mean that this season of our life is over… much too quickly! But, in the meantime, I’ll just be enjoying the simple things that make me smile.
And now to my favorite things from across the week:
Your Responses to My Wednesday Post
Since starting Semi-Sweet Tooth, there have been several moments that have scared the ba-jeezus out of me. Wednesday’s post was one of those moments. Talking about deep, heartfelt things such as my relationship with food is difficult, because it’s something I deal with it everyday. But I want to THANK YOU even more for your response to this post. The heartfelt notes I received and unabashed love that you shared was incredible. Please take this as a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles and we can build a positive community through encouraging and supporting one another.
Bachelorette Party Pictures
Slowly, but surely, bachelorette party pictures are being added to a photo sharing stream that a bunch of us shared across the bachelorette party two weeks ago. These pictures are amazing! One of my favorites has to be this gorgeous one of me with our officiant/one of my favorite people in the world Nathan. At the end of our wine tasting tour, I could do nothing but smile about being with so many of my favorite people in one place.
Pretty, Little Details
Those of you that follow me on Instagram or SnapChat (semisweettooth) know that I’m obsessed with a classic outfit’s unique details. From a unique color combination, to pattern mixing, to an architectural accessory on a seersucker dress, nothing beats finding a piece with a little unique flare. This belt on this Tahari dress is no different! Such a great way to personalize a classic style.
FREEBIRD Knox Boot
While I mentioned FREEBIRD in last week’s post, it deserves one more mention in this space. Ray and I popped into their Boulder space so that I could show him the collection, and we both fell in LOVE with this boot. It’s incredibly well structured, wears well, and the unique elements are just rad. I haven’t invested in these just yet, but I’m having a hard time imagining my Fall without them nearby.
“BITCH, please” mug
I won this as a prize at our recent Pinterest party and I’ve been using it pretty much every day since. I love this for no reason other than that it’s a hilarious way to wake up. 🙂
