Hello and good morning, my fellow SSTers! I hope you were like me and had too much to dream last night. 🙂
Just a quick update from last night, regarding living like it’s 2007 college style.
Miami University (no surprise here, obsessed) is playing hockey this week against University of Denver. Ray and I are going to both games alongside our two good friends. Last night, the good guys won fairly convincingly, and I realized that i still look like a college kid due to the mass amount of carding happening every time I tried to order a beer. (Yes, they serve beer at their games. The Pioneers win with that one, MU.)
The friends we were with live in a different area of the city than we do, so we checked out a bar in Cap Hill called Punchbowl Social. The bar was HUGE and totally college, including the catchy early-2000s tunes. Though the one difference is that instead of gettin jiggy wit it on the d floor, we found one of those big shuffle boards that are typically only in old peoples’ homes. We showed the bar how country club sports are meant to be done! With the big shuffle board, and this massive, awesome chandelier, I’d say Punchbowl Social was a win.
And while we’re on the topic (not at all), let’s talk about photo booths. I’ve regularly felt the need to utilize any photo booth I see. I don’t think they’re the best guest book for weddings, I think all are over priced in bars, and I think they’re generally covered in more germs than I care to think about… but they’re like a magnet to me. Punchbowl also had a photo booth…
…now I’d say that’s worth $5, don’t you think?
I hope that you have a fantastic, sunny Saturday. And, as always, Create a great life!
