I can’t imagine that I’m the only one loving our long weekend! If you’re in the States, then I hope that you had the opportunity to enjoy some fireworks and BBQ! If you’re part of my loyal follower base outside of the U.S. of A., then I hope that you had some time to relax and rejuvenate!
Friday was a full day of chores around our household. Writing “thank you” notes, unpacking from South Beach, and packing for Breckenridge. Though we did get a bit of time to meet up with some friends at Denver Beer Co to celebrate the beginning of the holiday weekend! Close to 7pm, Ray and I made our way to Coors Field (our baseball stadium in Denver) for Zac Brown Band. I had gotten us tickets incredibly last minute, but our seats in the upper tiers allowed up to see the whole show with the mountains in the background! While we definitely stayed up too late for the early morning we had the next day, Zac Brown Band was worth it!
Saturday, we took an early road trip up to beautiful Breckenridge. You all know that we’re obsessed with this little ski town, and they celebrate the 4th of July like you wouldn’t believe! It was more packed with people than the peak of ski season! But the fireworks over the river, hiking, and the red pepper bisque was on point.
Sunday, my good friend since childhood was able to meet up with Ray and I for a quick breakfast before we had to head out early in the morning. It was such a pleasure seeing her and her boyfriend after being away from Chicago for several months!
