New Product Trial: derma e Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme with SPF 15

This test product has been calling my name from my top drawer for a while now.  I’m incredibly content with my current day crèmes, and I typically prefer to wear a higher SPF than 15 for daily use.  But this past Sunday was the perfect day to try it out!

After hiking four fourteeners on Saturday (yep, you read that right) on Saturday, my skin was craving a little R&R.  I applied this Saturday night (day crème in the evening, rebellious like), then reapplying Sunday morning.  I’m not kidding when I say that, while I’m still suffering a painful knee and a small sunglass tan, my skin feels like new!

As you can see from the picture above, this crème is thick… definitely not for the faint of heart.  But, when my skin needs it most, I like to leave crèmes a bit on the thicker side rather than rubbing them in completely to allow the product to soak in where it needs moisture.  (Please note, I have no idea if that’s technically what you’re supposed to do, but I like the way it feels.)

Give the product a minute or so, and it should soak in completely.  At least for me, this product helped my skin feel supple and moisturized across the day, and I absolutely trust it to take me back to normal faster than a typical lotion or crème.  If you have dry skin, this may be for everyday, but I’ll likely go back to my usual products mid-week until the next time I’m feeling more dry (I typically have so-called “normal” skin.)

Overall, I definitely recommend having this on-hand.  We all have one time or another that we need a thicker crème, so we should make sure it’s a product that works!

When your skin is feeling especially dry, how do you get back to feeling “normal” as quickly as possible?  What lotions or crèmes do you use on a regular basis?
