Follow me:

Three Years.

Admittedly, over the past few months, my life has become much more private.  I share elements of my ongoing story, but take less photos and have limited my personal posts a bit on the blog, on Instagram, and on my Insta Story.  This is due to a variety of reasons, and may or may not last, but when I do share a personal post in any forum, it typically covers a lot of ground.

And this is one of those posts.

Perhaps because of the amount of change that has gone on in my life in the past half year or so, this day feels especially important.

Thursday will be the three year mark of my move to Denver.  This means that I have lived in Denver longer than I have lived anywhere, outside of the childhood home where I grew up.  And, arguably, I feel more attached to this place than anywhere else I have lived in my adult life.

This is where I learned what true kindness actually is.  This is where I realized that each seemingly insignificant move we make actually does impact the lives of other people – and we get to choose whether we make that a positive or negative impact.   This is where I lost myself more than I ever felt possible and where I’ve decided to go through the process of re-finding myself.  And I love waking up (almost) everyday glad about where I am in this life, knowing that I’ve made it what it is.

This city has become my home.

Here some of my favorite memories from across the past three years, in no particular order – some you will recognize from the blog and others are new.  Each one has brought me to where I am today and is leading me where ever this journey is taking me.  And in this very moment, I can just simply say… I’m happy.

* If I’m being 100% honest, I’m slowly working towards not regretting saying yes to his proposal in the first place.  However, the wedding itself was an integral piece of these last three years and I cannot thank my father enough for providing such an INCREDIBLE wedding for my friends , family, and I to enjoy.  We all had a heck of a lot of fun.  And I would still, without a shadow of a doubt, pick these women to stand by my side.
