New Product Trial: Number 4 Hydrating Shampoo

Of all the beauty products I try, I’m least brand loyal to shampoos and conditioners.  However, I rarely review them because it’s rare that I see much of a difference in product performance beyond the smooth shine that a general brand shift would create.  (See my only relevant conditioner review here.)

Enter Number 4’s Hydrating Shampoo product trial that I originally received from Birchbox a couple of months back.  It’s been sitting in the box, just waiting for the right opportunity.  With the dry weather we’ve been having, this weekend felt right.

Even though I didn’t have the full set (I used my everyday conditioner), I could absolutely tell a difference.  While it wasn’t the sleek, smooth look that I’m used to, my hair definitely collected some of the moisture it was lacking,  My locks feel easier to maintain, noticeably more nourished, and still feel thicker than they have in quite some time.

While I’m looking forward to trying out the full set of products (Number 4 Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner), I would definitely recommend this product if you need your hair to be hydrated in these dry, cold months.  Please note that my hair is naturally straight and I have thin strand, but a lot of them.  Just to take into consideration to compare/contrast before purchasing. 😉
