Friday Favorites #9: The One Where We Recycle

Happy Friday!  Hope you had a kick a$$ week and that your weekend is looking even more beautiful.  I’m incredibly excited to share this week’s Friday Favorites with you, (especially the one related to “recycle” up top.)  Per request, I have also added in a section towards the bottom of the post letting you know where you can find some of these pieces so that you can jump in on the fun, too!  (Be sure to follow on SnapChat & Instagram – @SemiSweetTooth – to catch all the wedding fun!)

As soon as I click post, we are off to our wedding week in Vail, and I couldn’t be more excited to see our family and friends for a week-long experience in one of our favorite places in the world!

But before I get ahead of myself, here are some of my favorite things from this past week.  Please share your favorites in the comments section below!

Gorgeous Pearl Earrings

Friday Favorites _19

I had been going back and forth for a while, debating on what type of earrings I would most like to wear on my wedding day.  While on my search, I spotted these gorgeous, two-pearl earrings that are classic and elegant, without being overly ostentatious.  I did end up picking a different set of earrings (which you’ll see a bit later), but these were a set that I just couldn’t put down.

Bachelorette Koozies

Friday Favorites _18

If you can’t tell, I’m having a hard time mentally leaving my Bachelorette Party behind.  While the memories will never fade, these bachelorette koozies, provided by my God-send of a Maid of Honor, are a tangible reminder of all the carefree, relaxed fun we had back in Michigan.

Baby Bird

Friday Favorites _20

When I get a bit lonely at home (working by yourself can be a bit trying sometimes), I often go to local coffee shops in the area.  While working at Starbucks in Cherry Creek, this little bird hung out next to my table for a while.  Not bothering or picking at anything, but just hopping around, enjoying the Summer air.  It served as a fun reminder of nature in the middle of a busy work day in the city.

Denver Flea with Pepsi Recycling

Friday Favorites _21

Last weekend, Pepsi Recycling invited me to visit their booth at Denver Flea to learn more about recycling and Pepsi’s commitment to bettering nature.  After already accepting the offer, I found out that my good friend Brittany over at The Cashmere Gypsy also got the invite, so this event quickly escalated to be a whole lot of fun!

Pepsi made their booth out of 100% recycled materials.  It was gorgeous!  People had the option to pick whether they preferred summer or winter and vote by recycling their plastic bottles and taking a picture in one of the two scenes.  I, of course, picked Winter (is it ski season yet?!), and Brittany picked summer.

I learned SO much about the benefits of recycling.  I’ve already become more conscious of recycling my plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and cardboard boxes – and set up a whole new recycling bin for our home.  Putting my learnings to practice ASAP!

This content was sponsored by Pepsi Recycling, though all thoughts and opinions are my own.  Thank you for your support!

New Joie Top

Friday Favorites _23

Nordstrom in Denver is all up in summer gear right now, and I’m LOVING it.  This new Joie top is one of my recent favorite acquisitions.  It’s comfortable and breathable – lightweight enough for sunny summer days, but structured enough that I feel comfortable wearing it the full day.

JUMP IN ON THE FUN!

As promised, below I’ve included links to the following pieces:

  • Similar pearl earrings to the ones I purchased (my favorite ones are first in the widget below)
  • The Joie top I mentioned above (similar tops follow)
  • A romper similar to the one I wore to the Pepsi Recycling event
