At My House Survey

Lately, I’ve been in a very “serious” mood.  I go to work, try to fit in a workout across my day (sometimes it doesn’t happen, so I try not to beat myself up about it), come home to get some blogging work done while Ray watches TV in the background.  If I have “free time,” it’s filled with wedding planning, cleaning our house, or fun things like paying bills or figuring out taxes.

I’m absolutely not complaining, because these are all great things to have going on in life, but sometimes you just want to relax and center yourself or have one task going on at a time.  In these seasons of life, yoga, a simple massage, and/or my weekly hour in church become my lifesavers.  But heck, I figured some of you guys might be in this season, too.  So let’s take a moment to relax and enjoy life with a simple survey!

I’m usually such a fan of fun blogger surveys and this one is no different.  Just a fun time to relax a bit this morning.  Please share some of your responses in the comments section below!

At My House Survey

Household Chore I Actually Enjoy…

Checking and replying to the mail.  Sometimes it’s paying the bills, and I obviously don’t like handing out cash flow, but everything from thank you notes to birthday cards to even the simple “spam” from the philanthropies I’ve worked with in the past make up for the bills.  It’s a quick task that separates my mind from the everyday tasks (it’s different everyday!), and I feel like my life is pulled together once the mail has been opened and replied to for the day.

Biggest House Disaster…

12 9 15_1 Blogger confession, I clean up our master bedroom before taking these pictures.  (Don’t lie, you do, too!)  But both Ray and I have piles of clothing on our respective sides of the bed that I absolutely despise, but I don’t picture them going anywhere anytime soon.  They make our room feel instantly cluttered!

Before Company Comes Over, I Hide…

We have a habit of leaving out our shoes when we come in each day (just like many homes), and they’re my first go-to for things to put away when friends or family are popping by for a drink or app. I try to keep our home 10 minutes away from ready to have company over – at least in the main rooms – and we’re typically pretty good at staying true to that philosophy.  Phew!

I Have a Style Crush on…

Beyond Joanna Gaines, I adore the style of Ashley Olsen, Jackie O, and Audrey Hepburn, among others.  All classic and relatively conservative.  Be on the look-out for more style breakdowns to come in the near future!

Most Recent Music Download…

I rarely download music and couldn’t even tell you the last song I put on my computer.  My guess is that the closest things would be the podcast “Serial” or there fact that I essentially play Jack Johnson Radio on Pandora almost non-stop anytime I’m home.

Last Thing I Bought Online…

Other than Christmas gifts, I don’t really shop for myself online.  However, I do love the idea of the flexibility of online classes and have recently purchased Kayla Itsines (above) Bikini Body Guide and HIlary Rushford’s Instagram with Intention (the actual class I purchased is not available right now, but she has a few others available.)

How Did I Ever Live Without…

The internet, cell phones, and blogging!  But seriously, think about it.  I’m not even 30 and part of my life did not include these inventions.  WHOA – talk about life changing!

I am a neat freak and love bleaching my bathroom and vacuuming. Whenever I get stressed out, the first thing I stop doing is my daily tidying which in turn stresses me out even more! Right now, my apartment has a small tornado that tore through so that is today’s project!

Haha, love it! I hate cleaning the bathrooms, so feel free to pop by our place any time. 🙂

House disaster: The side table between our chair and couch in the living room is a constant struggle. Our dining room is currently also a storage space for the displaced things from our bedroom (currently under remodeling). Last thing I bough online: Glass! A lot of glass for fusing and it is very exciting!
Style crush is hard…a lot of the ladies from the Instagram BBG community. I can’t just pick one 🙂

Love it! Those glass tables are a bugger, aren’t they?! And I’m excited to see what you make with your new glass! 🙂
